Board of Christian Education - The BCE would like to offer parents the option of using the nursery during Worship Service.  Adult volunteers are needed to cover the nursery on a rotating basis.  Sign up on the narthex bulletin board to help or contact the church office.

 

Choir & Al-Mighty Fine Handbell Ringers -  Both Handbell Ringers and Choir have begun a new season.  We have resumed practices on Thursday evenings, Handbell Ringers meet at 7:00PM and Choir at 8:00PM.  All are welcome!

Say it with Altar Flowers - The cost for an Altar arrangement is $40.  Place your check/cash for flowers payment in the offering plate prior to or on the requested Sunday.  Make your check payable to PIC with notation "altar flowers" or place the cash in an enveloped and label "altar flowers."

 

Children and Parents - There is now a Sanctuary Picture Book Collection in a basket at the back of the Sanctuary for preschoolers and primary grade children.  This small collection of 25 religious picture books from the Church Library is for your child(ren) to select from and read during Worship Services (for reading in the Sanctuary only please).  Check each month for a new collection of books!

Bible Study Opportunities:

Sunday Morning Adult Class at 9 am   Chaplin Hunze is leading a study on the origins of Sin and Forgiveness.

Wednesday Bible Class:  Classes resumed at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2013  with a study of the book of Revelation. This is a great time to join our study.  All are welcome! 

Women’s Friday Bible Class:  The Women’s Joy of Living Bible Study resumed Friday, January 4^th 2013 at 1:00pm.  We continue our study of First Samuel.  Our class meets twice a month on the first and third Fridays.  All women are welcome!

Women’s Monday Bible Study:  The Monday night women's Bible study began again on, Monday, April 1st from 5-6pm.   The title of the book is "God Loves Moms."  If you are interested, please contact Susan Riddles.

Blood Drive:  A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Tuesday, May 7th, 2:00- 8:00pm at the Walkersville United Methodist Church.

 

Mother’s Day Coffee Hour:  Join us as we celebrate our mothers, Sunday, May 12th for a Mother’s Day Coffee Hour immediately following worship.

Walkersville Crop Walk:   The Walkersville Crop Walk to end hunger is back! The walk is Sunday, May 19th at 1:30pm at Heritage Farm Park.  A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board. Please see Arlinda Sothoron for a pledge envelope.

 

Calling All Volunteers! Vacation Bible School will be here before we know it. Please mark your calendars for July 8-12, 9:00-11:30am. Many volunteers are needed in order to run the program. If you can help (or for more information), please contact Leslie Oberhaus.

 

Walkersville Children’s Summer Food Program:  PIC is working with other area churches to serve hot lunches to local children.  We need YOUR help to do this!  Volunteers are needed August 5-9 from 11:15am to 1:30pm.  See Arlinda Sothoron for additional information.
